CECÍLIA MENDUNI LUÍS

Anthropologist / PhD Student and Investigator

Cecília Menduni Luís has been helping PMAA as a contributor, since April of 2019. She is an Anthropologist, with a Masters Degree and a PhD Student in Anthropology in Instituto Superior de Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa - Instituto da Universidade de Lisboa (ISCTE) with her thesis focused in Undocumented Immigrants. She is also an investigator with the Centro em Rede de Investigação em Antropologia (CRIA) in ISCTE.

As part of her fieldwork, Cecília has worked a lot with the immigrant community, helping different associations, participating in and promoting different projects, and even helping individual immigrants through the Portuguese public system. Along with our teacher Sofia Fonseca, Cecília was a crucial part of preparing our Project Health for the Community, promoted by Bairros Saudáveis.
